Salt Creek Shipping, Incorporated was founded in New Mexico in July 1947. Thanks to wealthy backers, and a growing reputation, the company was able to quickly expand into the surrounding states. In 1956, Salt Creek acquired the troubled Oregon-based Lighthouse Bay Trasnportation Company, gaining a network of distribution centers across the 48 contiguous states. The newly merged business was rebranded as the Bay and Creek Shipping Company and adopted our now-famous motto “going anywhere good businesses need transportation services”.
